About me

I have over 20 years of experience working as a Speech Pathologist with children and their families across a range of settings including in private practice, in Early Intervention (with toddlers and preschoolers with developmental delay and a range of disabilities) and in schools.

I have extensive experience working with children from 1 year to 12 years with communication difficulties and differences including those needing support in the areas of social communication, language, articulation/speech sound difficulties and early literacy skills (spelling and reading).
I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients, including Autistic and ADHD children.

I prioritise building connection with each child I work with, celebrating their passions and strengths whilst supporting them with their challenges and seeing their potential. Therapy is play based, fun and engaging.

I am passionate about neuro affirming therapy and supports. I love supporting each child I work with to play and communicate in a way that is regulating and authentic for them, whilst also having great success in their interactions and communication with those around them. I am committed to supporting children and those in their 'world' to understand more about their communication preferences and supporting them to make meaningful connections with others whilst building their self-advocacy skills.

I work collaboratively with other allied health professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Psychologists as well as educators to ensure the very best communication and educational outcomes for each child.

I am committed to ongoing professional learning and attend regular training to further my skillset as well as constantly learning from each child I work with.
